Lure? Or did you mean you taught his stand just by telling him to back up and capturing that first little movement?

I did manage to teach Bubba a verbal only stand but it took several more weeks of torture. Before I sent him away he had great accuracy on all sit-down-stand verbal transitions, but only if I was sitting on the floor... Bubba loved to torture me!Laura and The Corgi, Toller, & Duckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06437492165453445126noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7360711630366485930.post-54524318720510184272013-01-02T17:11:52.364-06:002013-01-02T17:11:52.364-06:00I trained Jet's stand with a stand and a back ...I trained Jet's stand with a stand and a back combined. Taught stand, and also taught back, then put them together in quick succession. He has the CUTEST darn pop-up back stand I've ever seen. I need to post video of it. When he's in a down, he pops all four feet up into a stand and moves just a bit back. I love it!Cynthiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00610994972457978141noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7360711630366485930.post-80126702603356105992012-08-17T12:58:55.841-05:002012-08-17T12:58:55.841-05:00Thanks CBT! I just couldn't get Bubba to land in a stand after it as he would go from "up" to sitting no matter where I placed my hand. He did leave for prison today so when he gets back I might re-experiment with that method :)Laura and The Corgi, Toller, & Duckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06437492165453445126noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7360711630366485930.post-55698921907200638812012-08-17T12:28:36.643-05:002012-08-17T12:28:36.643-05:00Try this method from agility guru Susan Garrett. ...Try this method from agility guru Susan Garrett. I'll have to get back to you, but I'm sure it isn't anything you haven't already tried. Isn't it funny how we spend so much time teaching something and the process gets lost under all the rest?Amy / Layla the Malamutehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17483472323529793052noreply@blogger.com
